How to Connect Tasks to Matters/Leads in Lawcus?

In Lawcus, tasks can either be independent or associated with specific matters or leads. This guide will walk you through the process of connecting tasks to matters or leads, whether you are creating a new task or attaching it to an existing one.

To connect a new task to a matter/lead:

  1. While creating the new task, locate and click on the Matter/Lead icon. This action will prompt Lawcus to display the Matter/Lead dialog box.

2. In the Matter Name drop-down list, start typing the name of the relevant matter or lead. Based on your input, Lawcus will then present a list of all matching matters or leads.

3. Select the appropriate matter you want to connect with for the new task from the matching matters or leads list. Once you've selected, click on the Done button to confirm your choice.

4. After you have selected the relevant matter or lead, proceed with the rest of the task details as needed. Finally, click on the Add button to create a new task connected to the chosen matter or lead.

To connect an existing task to a matter/lead:

  1. From the list of tasks in Lawcus, click on the task that you want to connect to a matter or lead. This action will open the task details view.

2. Within the task details view, locate and click on the Matter Name drop-down list. Start typing the name of the matter or lead you to want to connect with the task.

3. Lawcus will display a list of matters or leads matching your entered text. Choose the appropriate matter or lead from the list.


4. Once you have selected the relevant matter or lead, click on the Update button to save the association between the task and the chosen matter or lead.
