Contact details that are essential differ from law firm to law firm and across practice areas and locations, so default contact fields on your Lawcus account may not suffice. But with contact custom fields, you can creatively collect additional details about contacts.

Creating a contact custom field

To create a contact custom field:

  1. Click user avatar on top-right and tap Settings


  2. Go to the Firm Settings section and click Custom fields


  3. Navigate to the Contact Custom Fields tab and click Add


  4. Input the new contact custom field title in the Name field, choose the type of field it would be


  5. Check the Default checkbox to make the custom field always appear and/or the Required checkbox, then click Create Custom Field
