Accurately tracking your billable hours and effectively managing your time is crucial for legal professionals. Lawcus provides a user-friendly interface with multiple methods to add time entries. Whether you prefer to add time entries from the Activities, Matters, Tasks, or using the "Plus" icon, Lawcus offers flexibility to suit your workflow. In this guide, we will walk you through each method, ensuring you can seamlessly add time entries and maintain accurate records.

How to Add a New Time Entry

To add a time entry from the Activities section:

  1. On the left sidebar menu, click on "Activities."

  2. Click on "Add Time Entry."

  3. Fill in all the applicable timesheet information, such as the date, duration, description, and any relevant tags.

  4. Once you have entered the necessary information, click on "Save" to add the time entry to your records.

To add a time entry from the Matters section:

  1. From the left sidebar menu, click on "Matters."

  2. On the top bar menu, click on "Time" and then select "Add." Alternatively, you can click on "Add Time" from the options available under "Quick Actions."

  3. Fill in all the applicable timesheet information, including the date, duration, description, and any relevant tags.

  4. After entering the required details, click on "Save" to create the new time entry.

To add a time entry using the "Plus" icon:

  1. Locate the pink-colored plus icon located next to the timer.

  2. Click on the plus icon and select "Add Time Entry" from the options.

  3. Fill in all the applicable timesheet information, such as the date, duration, description, and any relevant tags.

  4. Once you have provided the necessary details, click on "Save" to add the time entry to your records.

To add a time entry from the Tasks option:

  1. Click on "Tasks" from the left sidebar menu.

  2. Select the task against which you wish to enter the time and click on "Create Time Entry."

  3. Fill in all the applicable timesheet information, including the date, duration, description, and any relevant tags.

  4. Once you have entered the required details, click on "Save" to add the time entry to your records.
