How to Export Matters in Lawcus?

Export matters in Lawcus for data migration or analysis.

Exporting matter information from Lawcus allows you to migrate to a new case management software or any other legal Software-as-a-Service solution, ensuring that all matter information is kept in one place. Additionally, exporting matter data allows you to analyze the information to make informed business decisions.

Bulk-exporting Matters' Information Out of Lawcus

Steps to export All Matters' Data from Lawcus:

  1. Click on the User Avatar and select Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Apps and Integrations section, and then click on Export & Import.

  3. Within the Export & Import section, click on the Matters tab, and then select the Export tab.

  4. Select the checkboxes All open matters AND/OR All closed matters, then click the Export matters button to initiate the export process.

  5. You will receive an email with a CSV Copy of the matters' data attached. Check your email inbox for this email.

Exporting Matter Data from Selected Pipeline & Stage

  1. Go to Matters from the left side.

  2. Select the desired pipeline by clicking on the Pipeline Tab on the top.

  3. Click on the Ellipsis Icon next to the Stage Name, then select Export to CSV from dropdown options.

  4. Check your mailbox for the email containing the exported CSV file. Download and open the CSV file to access the exported data.

Note: Please be aware that this method only exports the matters within the selected pipeline & selected stage.

Note: You can always use the filter option to further narrow down your data.

Exporting Matter Data from the Matter Page

  1. Go to Matters from the left side.

  2. Select All Tab for all matters, Open Tab for all open matters, and Closed Tab for all closed matters.

  3. Click on the Export option on the top and select Export to CSV option.

  4. Check your mailbox for the email containing the exported CSV file. Download and open the CSV file to access the exported data.

Just like any other instances, use the Filter Option to further narrow down your results to export

FAQ1: Is it possible to filter cases by status when exporting matters into a CSV file?

Answer: Yes, you can. Select the Open or Closed tab and Export the data.
