Connect Astrid Legal with Lawcus to automatically add approved call notes and follow-up tasks to the appropriate Lawcus matter. Astrid records and transcribes client calls, prepares a draft note, and sends it to Lawcus after an attorney reviews and approves it.
Before you begin
Before connecting Astrid with Lawcus:
Your firm must have API access enabled in Lawcus. API access is available with the Elite plan.
You must have access to your Astrid account.
You must have permission to authorize the Lawcus integration.
Note: Connecting Astrid does not change or remove any existing data in Lawcus.

Connect Astrid to Lawcus
Step 1: Log in to Astrid
Sign in to your Astrid account.
Step 2: Open User Settings
From the sidebar, go to Settings > User settings.
Step 3: Open Integrations
Select the Integrations tab.
Step 4: Connect Lawcus
Under Case management system:
Select Lawcus from the System dropdown.
Click Connect Lawcus.
Sign in to Lawcus if prompted.
Review and authorize Astrid's access.
After authorization, you will be redirected back to Astrid. The integration will show as Connected to Lawcus.
How Astrid links calls to Lawcus
Astrid automatically identifies the participants in a call and searches for matching contacts and matters in Lawcus. When a matching matter is found, the call is linked to that matter.
You can also manually select a matter:
Open the call in Astrid.
Use the matter search.
Search for the relevant Lawcus matter.
Select the matter.
Approve and send the note to Lawcus
Once Astrid finishes processing a call, it creates a draft note for review.
Review the note and approve it when it is ready. Attorney approval is required before the note is added to Lawcus.
After approval:
The note is added to the linked Lawcus matter as an Interaction.
Follow-up items are added as Tasks.
The Interaction and Tasks include a link to the original call in Astrid.
View the information in Lawcus
Open the linked matter in Lawcus to view the information received from Astrid.
The approved call note will appear under Interactions, while any follow-up items will appear under Tasks.
This keeps the call record, approved note, and follow-up work connected to the matter without requiring the information to be entered manually.
