In Lawcus, tasks are usually created as public tasks, visible to team members or individuals associated with a specific matter or lead. However, Lawcus also offers the option to create private tasks, which are only visible to the person who creates them. Private tasks are perfect for setting up personal reminders, tasks unrelated to work, or keeping certain tasks confidential. This article will guide you through the process of creating private tasks in Lawcus, either during task creation or after its creation.
Creating a Private Task during Task Creation:
Click on “Write a task name” to start typing the name of the task.
Once done, you can set the task as public or private by clicking on the following highlighted button. Set it as a “Private Task.”
Set the Matter or Lead name and Due Date and Click on “Add” to create the private task.
Creating a Private Task for an Existing Task:
If you already have a task that you want to make private, go to the "Tasks" section and find the task in the list.
Click on the task you wish to make private. Click on the "Make Private" icon to switch the task from public to private.
Once done, click on “Update” to save the changes.
Note: You now have the ability to delegate private tasks to others. To assign a private task to someone else, open the task, click on the "Assigned To" field, and choose the user you wish to assign the task to. Alternatively, you can also designate the assignee during the initial creation of the private task.
