In Lawcus, tasks are created as public tasks, visible to all team members and individuals connected with the respective matter or lead. However, Lawcus provides the flexibility to create private tasks when necessary. Private tasks are only visible to the creator and useful for personal reminders or tasks you prefer to keep confidential. This guide will walk you through the simple process of converting an existing public task into a private one.

To mark an existing task as private:

1. Navigate to the Task section and click on the task you want to convert to a private task to view its details.

2. In the task details view, find and click on the "Make Private" link.

3. After marking the task as private, click on the "Update" button to save the changes.

Note: Private tasks are only visible to you, ensuring confidentiality and privacy. The lock icon indicates that the task is private, and you can easily revert it to a public task by clicking on the "Make Public" link within the task details view.

That’s all! You have successfully converted the existing public task into a private one. The task is now visible only to you, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.

Pro Tips: To create a new private task, you can select the "Private" option when initially creating the task. Note that you can always convert a private task back to a public task by clicking on the "Make Public" link within the task details view. Also, note that Private tasks are a great way to manage personal to-do lists and other non-work-related tasks within Lawcus without sharing them with your team.
