Tags in Lawcus are powerful keywords that enable easy searching and categorization of matter entries. You can add tags while creating a new matter or at any later time by editing the matter details. This article will guide you through the process of adding tags to an existing matter.

To add tags to an existing matter, follow these steps:
Access the Matters screen by clicking on "Matters" in the left sidebar of Lawcus.
Select the desired matter by clicking on its Matter Card.
3. Click on the Edit Icon or choose "Edit matter" from the Quick Actions panel.
4. Locate the "Tags" section and click on it to add new tags or modify existing ones for the matter.
Note: Type the tag you want to add in the Tags box. As you type, Lawcus will provide suggestions in a list that matches what you are typing. If the desired tag appears in the list, simply click on it. Alternatively, if you are entering a new tag, type it and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
Note: Lawcus will automatically add the tag to the Tags area as you proceed.
5. Repeat the previous step to add more tags as necessary.
6. Once you have finished adding or modifying the tags, click the "Update" button to save your changes and return to the Matter details screen.
After completing these steps, the newly added tags will be visible in the Info tab of the Matter details screen, allowing for quick reference and easy searchability.
By effectively utilizing tags in Lawcus, you can streamline your matter management and improve the overall organization of your legal practice.
