Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Lawcus account by requiring a one-time code, and your password every time you log in. You can easily enable Two-Factor Authentication for your account, and this guide will walk you through the process.
Two-factor authentication requires a mobile authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Authy or Salesforce Authenticator
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
Click on your
Avatar Iconlocated in the top-right corner of the Lawcus interface and expand theUser Settingsoption.Click on
Two-factor authentication setupoption and toggle theEnable Two-Factor Authenticationbutton.You will be prompted to enter
your passwordin the Two-Factor Authentication Setup section.Downloada mobile authenticator app on your smartphone or tablet. Popular options includeGoogle Authenticator,Authy, orSalesforce Authenticator. You can find links to download these apps within the Lawcus interface during setup.Launch the mobile authenticator app on your device and use it to
scan the QR codedisplayed on the Lawcus screen. Once the QR code is captured, the app will generate a time-sensitive code.In the Lawcus interface,
enter the codegenerated by your mobile authenticator app into the designated two-factor code field. Finally, click theEnablebutton to complete the setup process.
Logging in with Two-Factor Authentication enabled
With Two-Factor Authentication enabled, every time you log in to Lawcus, you will be prompted to enter a
validation code.Open the mobile authenticator appon your device and locate the time-sensitiveTwo-Factor Authentication codegenerated by the app.Quickly
enter the codeinto the appropriate field on the Lawcus login screen.Click the
Loginbutton to access your Lawcus account securely. Please note that you need to enter the token code promptly as it has a limited time validity.
Disabling Two-Factor Authentication
If you wish to disable Two-Factor Authentication for your Lawcus account, click on your User Avatar located in the top-right corner of the interface, select
User Settings, and then selectTwo-factor Authenticationanddisableit.The firm admin can also reach out to support@lawcus.com to disable 2FA for a user.
