When using Lawcus to organize your files, you have the option to share folders and their contents with your clients. By default, only team members added to the matter can access the folder. However, if you want to grant access to your clients, you can easily change the privacy settings. This guide will walk you through the steps to share a matter folder and its contents with your clients.

Sharing folders with clients

To share a matter folder and its contents to the client:

  1. Go to Matters and open the desired client matter.

  2. Navigate to the Files tab and click the folder icon.

  3. Tap the menu icon located in front of the folder's name. Select "Share folder's files" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Click on the empty field and type the client's name. Select the client's name from the suggestions.

By following these steps, you can easily share a matter folder and its contents with your clients. Once you have completed the process, the client will be able to access the folder and view its files, including images, text documents, videos, and more.

Note: It's important to ensure that you share the folder with the appropriate clients and have the necessary permissions to share the files. Double-check the client name and the folder you are sharing to avoid any accidental sharing of confidential information.
