The Add Event action allows you to automatically create and schedule an event in Lawcus when a workflow is triggered. This helps law firms streamline scheduling and ensure important appointments, consultations, and other activities are created consistently without manual entry.
You can use the Add Event action to:
Automatically schedule client consultations.
Create appointments based on workflow triggers.
Schedule follow-up events when a matter or lead reaches a specific stage.
Create recurring or time-sensitive activities as part of an automated process.
Reduce manual scheduling and help ensure important events are not missed.
How to Add the Add Event Action
Open Workflows from the left navigation menu.
Create a new workflow or open an existing workflow.
Configure the workflow Trigger and any required Conditions.
Click Add Action.
Select Add Event.
Configure the event details, including the event name, date, time, and other available fields.
Map information from the workflow trigger to the relevant event fields, if applicable.
Save the action.
Publish or activate the workflow.
Configure the Add Event Action
After selecting Add Event, configure the details of the event you want Lawcus to create.
a. Event Title
Enter a title for the event. You can also use Merge Tags to automatically populate information from the lead or matter, such as the client or matter name.
b. Description
Add a description to provide additional details about the event, such as the purpose of the consultation or appointment.
c. Calendar
Select the calendar where the event should be created. Choose the appropriate user's calendar based on your firm's requirements.
d. Matter/Lead
Select the relevant matter or lead to associate the event with a specific record. You can leave this field blank if it is not required.
e. Recipients
Configure the event recipients by using the Merge Tags dropdown to map the appropriate contact or client field. This allows the recipient to be automatically populated based on the workflow trigger.
You can also add multiple recipients by clicking Add Recipient and configuring additional recipients as needed.
f. Start Date
Configure when the event should begin. You can specify the number of days and choose whether the calculation should use Business Days or Calendar Days. You can also specify whether the event should be scheduled before or after the selected trigger date.
g. End Date
Configure the event's end date using the same options as the start date. Specify the number of days, select Business Days or Calendar Days, and choose whether the date should be calculated before or after the trigger date.
Once you have configured the event, you can either:
Click
Add New Actionto add additional actions to the workflow, such as sending an email or creating a task.Save the workflow if the event is the final action.
Review the workflow configuration and save or update the workflow to apply your changes.
Once enabled, the workflow will automatically create the event whenever the configured trigger occurs, using the event details and scheduling rules you have defined.
