The Export Company Data permission in Lawcus provides a simple and efficient way to export data directly from list view pages. With this permission enabled, users can access the Export option without selecting individual records or relying on the Bulk Update functionality. Displays a direct Export option on list view pages. | Requires users to select records from the list view. |
Does not require selecting individual records before exporting. | Allows users to perform bulk actions, including export and update, on selected records. |
Sends the exported data as a CSV file via email. | Provides bulk actions for selected records. |
Controlled by the Export Company Data permission. | Controlled by the Bulk Update permission. |
Important: Enabling Export Company Data does not require enabling Bulk Update, and enabling Bulk Update does not automatically grant access to the direct Export option.
Managing Data Export Access
Firm Owners and Admins have the Export Company Data permission enabled by default.
For other roles, firms can decide whether to grant access based on the user's responsibilities. This allows administrators to control who can export company data without providing additional bulk update capabilities.
By keeping these permissions separate, Lawcus provides greater flexibility in managing data access and user permissions.
