In Lawcus, you can easily mark shared invoices as sent. Doing so will make the selected invoice visible and accessible to your clients through the Client Portal. In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to mark an invoice as sent, making sure you communicate efficiently with your clients and a seamless invoicing process.

Before you mark an invoice as sent, please ensure the client portal access has been shared with the client.

Steps to Mark an Invoice as Sent (Method 01)

  1. Click on the Billing section from the left side menu.

  2. Locate the invoice you want to share with your client and Check the Checkbox in front of it to select it.

  3. Click on Bulk Actions and select Mark as Sent from the dropdown options. That’s all! You will now notice the status will be changed to Sent.

Draft Invoices: Remember that invoices in the Draft status will not be shared with clients until they are explicitly Marked as Sent. To share a draft invoice, follow the above steps to mark it as sent before directing your clients to the Client Portal.

Client Notifications: When an invoice is Marked as Sent, Lawcus will automatically notify your client via email, alerting them about the new invoice available in their Client Portal.

Steps to Mark an Invoice as Sent (Method 02)

  1. Click on Billings from the left side menu.

  2. Locate the desired invoice you want to Mark as Sent and click on the Invoice Number to Open it.

  3. Click on More Actions from the top and select Mark as Sent from the dropdown.

If you have used Method 01 to Mark as Sent, the option will be disabled if you try doing it again via Method 02.

Marking Multiple Invoices as Sent

Follow Method 01 as outlined above and select multiple invoices before clicking on Bulk Actions.

That is all! The ability to mark invoices as sent in Lawcus streamlines your invoicing process and enhances client communication
