In Lawcus, you can easily mark shared invoices as sent. Doing so will make the selected invoice visible and accessible to your clients through the Client Portal. In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to mark an invoice as sent, making sure you communicate efficiently with your clients and a seamless invoicing process.
Before you mark an invoice as sent, please ensure the client portal access has been shared with the client.
Steps to Mark an Invoice as Sent (Method 01)
Click on the
Billing
section from the left side menu.Locate the invoice you want to share with your client and
Check
theCheckbox
in front of it to select it.Click on
Bulk Actions
and selectMark as Sent
from the dropdown options. That’s all! You will now notice the status will be changed toSent
.
Draft Invoices: Remember that invoices in the Draft
status will not be shared with clients until they are explicitly Marked as Sent
. To share a draft invoice, follow the above steps to mark it as sent before directing your clients to the Client Portal
.
Client Notifications: When an invoice is Marked as Sent
, Lawcus will automatically notify your client via email, alerting them about the new invoice available in their Client Portal
.
Steps to Mark an Invoice as Sent (Method 02)
Click on
Billings
from the left side menu.Locate the desired invoice you want to
Mark as Sent
and click on theInvoice Number
toOpen
it.Click on
More Actions
from the top and selectMark as Sent
from the dropdown.
If you have used Method 01 to Mark as Sent, the option will be disabled if you try doing it again via Method 02.
Marking Multiple Invoices as Sent
Follow Method 01 as outlined above and select multiple invoices before clicking on Bulk Actions.
