Tags in Lawcus are powerful keywords that enable easy searching and categorization of matter entries. You can add tags while creating a new matter or at any later time by editing the matter details.
Method 1: Steps to Create Matter Tags from Settings
Click on the
User Avatar
and selectSettings
.Click on
Matter Tags
underFirm Settings
.Add the name of the tag within
Tag name
field and click onCreate
button to save it.
Note: The default color will be applied for the tags in Method 1
.
Method 2: Steps to Create Matter Tags from the Matter Creation Page
When you
Create a New Matter
orEdit an Existing Matter
, click on theTags Button
.For New Tags, just
type the Tag Name
and click onEnter
to create the new tag. Also, click on thedropdown
next to the tag name to apply any color of your requirement to the tag.
Method 3: Steps to Create Matter Tags from the Matter List Page
Click on
Matters
from the left.Click on
More Actions
from the right and selectMatter Tags
.Add the name of the tag within
Tag name
field and click onCreate
button to save it.
Steps to Delete Matter Tags
Click on the
Avatar Icon
and selectSettings
.Click
Firm Settings
and selectMatter Tags
from the dropdown.Click the
Trash Icon
next to a matter tag you’d like to delete and clickYes
in the confirmation window.
Steps to Add Tags to an Existing Matter or New Matter
Go to
Matters
from the left side.Select the
Desired Matter
by clicking on itsMatter Card
and click on theEdit Icon
next to theMatter Name
or selectEdit Matte
r option underQuick Actions
.For New Matters, click on
New Matter
button from theMatters page
.Locate the
Tags section
and click on it to add new tags or modify existing ones for the matter. To remove existing tags, Click on theX button
next to the tag name.After Adding the tags click on
Save
orUpdate
to save the tags.
Added tags will appear in the Matter Info section and also under the Tags column of the matter list.

Answer: We don't currently have this functionality.
