How to Start a Timer?
Click on the
Clock Iconlocated on the top navigation bar in Lawcus.Fill in the applicable information like
What are you working on?,Matter NameandRate(if necessary).Click on the green play icon to start the timer.
Essential Points to Remember
You can
Pausethe timer at any time per requirement.You can create multiple timer lists to track and record the exact time spent on multiple tasks throughout the day without memorization or separate records. Use the same
Clock Iconto create multiple timers.Click the
Edit Buttonnext to thePause or Playbutton to update theActivity Categoryif needed, and remember to save any changes made.
Additionally, Lawcus offers the option to start a timer directly from Activities or time under a Matter. Clicking the Green Timer Icon from the timesheet or activity list will enable you to begin tracking time. Remember that any such timer would increase the entered time value of the timesheet.
At the end of the day, don't forget to stop the timer when you've completed the task to ensure accurate time tracking.
Steps to Stop or Pause a Timer
Locate the clock icon on the dashboard's top navigation bar. This
Clock Iconrepresents the timer functionality in Lawcus.Click on the
Clock Iconto access the timer menu. You will see the running timer displayed along with task details.To stop the timer, click on the
Pink Pause Iconassociated with the running timer. This will halt the timer and record the time spent on the task up to that point.

FAQ1: My timer keeps coming back up after I pause it. What should I do?
Answer: You may have Lawcus open in multiple browser tabs, which can cause issues with the timer. To fix this, simply stop the timer on each tab where Lawcus is running. The issue should no longer occur once the timer is stopped across all tabs.
