Task Lists in Lawcus allow you to create a predefined set of tasks for each stage within a matter pipeline. Whenever a matter enters a specific stage—either through the creation of a new matter or by moving an existing matter into that stage—Lawcus automatically generates the assigned tasks. This helps streamline repetitive processes, maintain consistency, and improve workflow efficiency without the need to build a custom automation workflow.

The generated tasks will appear:
In the Tasks section within the matter, and
In the main Tasks tab on the left-side menu.
No additional workflow or automation setup is required.

Important Notes
Task Lists can only be created and managed from the Matter pipeline stage view. They are not available in the Lead pipeline.
Each time a matter enters a stage, all tasks in that stage’s Task List are created automatically.
Example: If a matter is moved to the Discovery stage twice, the Discovery tasks will be created twice.Tasks created through a Task List are visible to all team members who have access to the matter.
Best Practices
Use Task Lists for repeatable processes and checklists.
Assign tasks to the appropriate team members.
Set realistic due dates.
Be cautious when moving matters back into a stage, as duplicate tasks may be created.
Summary
Task Lists in Lawcus help you automate recurring tasks by creating predefined task lists for specific matter stages. Whenever a matter enters that stage, the tasks are automatically created, assigned to the appropriate team members, and displayed both in the matter’s Tasks section and in the main Tasks tab.
