  3. Plus Icon: Clicking on the Plus icon allows you to add details for new matters, invoices, expenses, and more.

  4. Notifications Icon: Clicking on the Notifications icon allows you to view the notifications you receive from Lawcus.

  5. Avatar Icon: Clicking on the Avatar icon provides access to various account settings and features, including:

- Accessing account settings

- Exploring the knowledge base, which contains help articles and tutorials

- Viewing your current subscription plan and details

- Creating and managing your teams

- Logging out from your account

Note: You can use the date range drop-down list to select the period for the graphs that appear in these panels and Lawcus will show data for the selected period. You can select any of the following periods:

  • This Year: The current year

  • This Quarter: The current quarter

  • This Month: The current month

  • This Week: The current week (Mon-Sun)

  • Last Year: The previous year

  • Last Quarter: The previous quarter

  • Last Month: The previous month

  • Last Week: The previous week (Mon-Sun)

  • Last 7 days: The previous 7 days. This is different from "Last Week". Last week is always Mon-Sun, whereas the Last 7 days is 7 days back counting from the current day. For example, if the current day is Thursday, Lawcus will display the graphs with data from the previous Friday to the current day.

  • Last 30 days: The previous 30 days. This is different from "Last Month". Last month is always the previous, whereas Last 30 days is 30 days back counting from the current day. For example, if the current day is 30th October, Lawcus will display the graphs with data from 30 days prior to the current day.

  • Custom: If none of the above ranges suits you, you can select your own custom range.

Select_Custom_Date_Range.png

You can either type the dates in mm/dd/yyyy format, or select the dates using the calendar icons.

Let's explore each of these panels:

Today's Agenda

Dashboard_Todays_Agenda.png

Lawcus can integrate with Google Calendar, Outlook, and the Office 365 Calendar. If you have set up integration between Lawcus and your calendar, the Today's Agenda panel will display a list of all tasks or events scheduled for the current day. This panel also lists all events/tasks created within Lawcus. Click on "View all" icon to see the complete list.

Dashboard_Lead_Trends.png

The Lead Trends panel provides an overview of your success in converting leads into matters. It combines the Leads Added, Conversion Rate, and Pipeline Value panels.

A. This section shows you:

  • The number of new prospective leads added to your pipeline in the selected date range.

  • The number of leads converted during the selected date range (regardless of when the lead was added).

  • The number of leads not hired/lost during the selected period.

  • The total number of active leads in the pipeline for the selected period.

B. This section displays the Conversion Rate, which is the number of converted leads divided by the number of new leads in the selected date range.

C. This section shows you:

  • The total business value from all the leads in your pipeline for the selected period.

  • The business value from the converted leads for the selected period.

  • The business value lost from leads that were not hired/lost during the selected period.

Note: Hovering over any data point in the graph shows you the values on that particular day. For example, in the following screenshot, we can see that on 09/22, we added one new lead, and converted two leads into clients (remember, conversions are based on the total number of leads in the pipeline); thus, we have a conversion rate of 200%.

Practice Performance Metrics

Note: This graph is not based on the date range selected above.

Dashboard_Practice_Performance_Metrics_Panel.png

This panel shows you how close or far you are from your targets.

Note: The target values shown in this panel are based on what is set in the User Settings: Practice Rate & Target screen. See documentation for more information on setting your hourly rate and annual billing targets.

A. Click on these links to see your Year-to-date (Ytd), Month-to-date (Mtd), Week-to-date (Wtd), and the current day’s (Tdy) performance.

B. Shows you the number of hours worked as against your target number of hours.

Note: Lawcus calculates your Hours Target value based on your hourly rate and your billing target. For example, if your annual billing target is $200,000 and your hourly rate is $400, Lawcus calculates the Hours Target as $200,000 ÷ $400 = $500/hour. (Lawcus divides these target values by the number of months (12), weeks (52), or number of working days (as defined in the User Settings: Practice Rate & Target screen), when you select Mtd, Wtd or Tdy, respectively. )

C. Shows you your actual earnings (based on your invoicing) as against your target.

Billable Performance Metrics

This section provides in-depth insights about billable entries and their associated performance metrics. It's designed to give you a clear understanding of how your billable work is performing.

A. Analyzing Different Time Frames: You'll find links here that allow you to explore various time frames: Year-to-date (Ytd), Month-to-date (Mtd), Week-to-date (Wtd), and the current day (Tdy). These options enable you to examine your billable performance over different periods, giving you a comprehensive overview of how you're doing.

B. Comparing Actual vs. Targeted Billable Hours: This section presents a comparison between the total billable hours you've recorded and the hours you were aiming for based on your targets. Your billable rate and annual hours target are crucial in determining what we call the "Billable Hours Target." Additionally, for the Month-to-date (Mtd), Week-to-date (Wtd), or Today (Tdy) selections, these target values are adjusted to match the corresponding time spans. This way, the system considers the specifics of your chosen time frame.

C. Evaluating Actual Billable Earnings Against Target: In this segment, you'll see how your actual billable earnings, as reflected in your invoices, compare to your predetermined target. This gives you a clear picture of how well your financial performance matches your intended goals. By directly comparing your earnings against your target, you can quickly gauge whether you're on track to meet your financial objectives.

Note: Your personalized settings, including your billable rate and annual hours target, influence the values you see here. To configure these settings, refer to the detailed instructions in the documentation. These settings are pivotal in ensuring that the insights and calculations provided in this panel are accurate and tailored to your specific situation.

Work in Progress

Dashboard_Work_In_Progress_Panel.png
