FAQ Section

FAQ1: Is there a way to add two spouses as clients to a single matter?

Answer: Right now, we do not support having several clients on one matter. To bypass this, you can create a matter for one spouse and add the other spouse as a related contact.

FAQ2: How can I request related contact addresses in document automation?

Answer: You can make use of ${Matter.Relationships.Relation.Address} merge field. Make sure to replace the word Relation with the actual relation type you have on Lawcus.

FAQ3: What do I do when related contact merge fields aren't working in document automation?

Answer: Please ensure there are no brackets or special characters included in the related contact merge field, as our software does not support this character within this category of merge fields.

For instance:

  • Matter.Relationships.Test(brackets).Address --> Will not function correctly

  • Matter.Relationships.Test.Address --> Will work as intended
