How to Create and Manage Event Tags in Lawcus

Organize calendar events using custom labels and colors.

Event Tags in Lawcus help you organize and categorize calendar events using custom labels. Tags make it easier to search for specific events, group related activities, and visually identify events at a glance using color-coded labels.

You can create tags from Settings or directly while creating or editing an event.


What Are Event Tags?

Tags are customizable labels that can be attached to calendar events. They help organize events by category, making it easier to search, filter, group, and quickly identify related activities within the calendar.
Common examples include:

  • Court Appearance

  • Client Meeting

  • Follow-Up

  • Deadline

  • Internal Meeting

Each tag can be assigned a custom color for quick visual identification in the calendar.


How to create Event Tags


Method 1: Create Event Tags from Settings

Use this method to create and manage tags centrally.

  1. Click your User Avatar in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Expand Firm Settings.

  4. Click Tag Management.

  5. Select Event Tags.

  6. Enter the tag name in the Tag Name field.

  7. Choose a colour for the tag (optional).

  8. Click Create.


The new tag will now be available when creating or editing events.


Method 2: Create Event Tags While Creating or Editing an Event

You can also create tags directly from the event form.

  1. Go to Calendar from the left navigation menu.

  2. Click New Event, or open an existing event and click Edit.

  3. Click the Tags field.

  4. Type the name of the new tag.

  5. Press Enter to create it.

  6. Optionally, click the color dropdown next to the tag name to choose a color.

  7. Save or update the event.


How to add Tags to an Event

  1. Go to Calendar on the left.

  2. Create a new event or edit an existing one.

  3. Locate the Tags field.

  4. Select one or more existing tags, or create a new tag by typing its name and pressing Enter.

  5. Click Save or Update.


Edit or Remove Tags from an Event

To Remove a Tag from an Event

  1. Open the event in edit mode.

  2. In the Tags field, click the X next to the tag you want to remove.

  3. Click Save or Update.

To Change a Tag Color

  1. Open the event or go to Settings > Firm Settings > Tag Management > Event Tags.

  2. Click the colour dropdown next to the tag.

  3. Select a new colour.

  4. Save your changes.


Delete Event Tags

Deleting a tag removes it from the tag list and from any events using that tag.

Steps to Delete Event Tags

  1. Click your User Avatar.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Go to Firm Settings > Tag Management > Event Tags.

  4. Click the Trash icon next to the tag you want to delete.

  5. Click Yes to confirm.
