The Intake Form Submitted trigger automatically starts a workflow whenever a Lawcus intake form is completed and submitted. This allows you to streamline your firm's intake process, enabling you to instantly capture client responses, automatically create new leads or contacts, update existing matter details, and send immediate follow-up communications without manual work.

Configure the Workflow Setup
In Step 2 – Setup, a dropdown menu allows you to choose which intake form will initiate the workflow:

The workflow will then run only when that particular form is submitted.
Add Entry Rules
If you want to filter workflows based on the specific answers submitted in the form, expand the optional Entry Rules section. Entry Rules allow you to set smart conditions using the submitted form responses. For example, you can set a rule to run the workflow only if a client selects a specific option or enters specific criteria in one of the intake questions.
For step-by-step guidance on setting up these filters, refer to our Entry Rules article.
Select Actions
After configuring your trigger and entry rules, click Continue to select your automated actions. You can pick any action from the available list to handle the form response, such as:
Creating a new Lead or Contact automatically using response fields like First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone Number.
Updating existing Lead or Matter information with the newly submitted client data.
Sending a thank-you or confirmation email directly to the person who submitted the form.
Creating follow-up tasks for your team to review the submission.
