Migrating your data from PracticePanther to Lawcus is a critical step in transitioning to a new legal practice management system. This guide will walk you through the process, ensuring a smooth and successful data migration.
The exporting functionality for some features depends on the subscription plan you have on Practice Panther.
Export Data - Detailed Instructions Below:
Matters:
1. Click Matters in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
2. Set the Filters:
Assigned To: Any User
Originated By: Any User
Status: Any
Tags: No Tag should be selected
Created Date: All Time
Choose Column: All columns should be selected.
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All.
Contacts:
1. Click Contacts in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
2. Set the Filters:
Select All Contacts
Assigned To: Any User
Status: Active
Tags: No Tag should be selected
Created Date: All Time
Choose Column: All columns should be selected.
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All.
Time Entries:
1. Click Time Entries in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
2. Set the Filters:
Billed By: Any User
Status: Any
Tags: No Tag should be selected
Date Range: All Time
Choose Column: All columns should be selected.
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All.
Expenses:
1. Click Billing in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Then select Expenses from the dropdown.
2. Set the Filters:
Billed By: Any User
Status: Any
Tags: No Tag should be selected
Date Range: All Time
Choose Column: All columns should be selected.
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All.
Flat Fees:
1. Click Billing in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Then select Flat Fees from the dropdown.
2. Set the Filters:
Billed By: Any User
Status: Any
Tags: No Tag should be selected
Date Range: All Time
Choose Column: All columns should be selected.
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All.
Items:
1. Click Billing in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Then select Items from the dropdown.
2. Choose Column: All columns should be selected.
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All.
Invoices:
1. Click Billing in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Then select Invoices from the dropdown.
2. Set the Filters:
Select All Invoices,
Assigned To: Contact
Select Any User
Tags: No Tag should be selected
Date: Bill Date
Time: All Time
Status: Any
Choose Column: All columns should be selected.
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All
Activities:
From Activities, you can export Tasks, Events, Calls, Emails, Notes, Secure Messages, and Text Messages.
1. Click Activities in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
2. Set the Filters
Select All Activities
Status: Any
Assigned To: Any User
Created By: Any User
Tags: No Tag should be selected
Date Range: Any Time
3. After that, click on the Export icon-> Export All
Reports:
Trust Account Reconciliation Report
1. Click Reports in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Then select Payments.
2. Look for the Trust Account Reconciliation Report and click on View.
3. Select a date 2 days later and then Export.
Note: If there are multiple bank accounts, please download the report for each bank account.
